WAIW | No Longer Vegan?

When I decided to turn last week’s Where Am I Wednesday episode into a taste test of some of the interesting things I can get at Au Lac here in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, I have to admit that I was expecting a few comments about how folks had never considered vegan versions of such things as dried squid or goose liver pate.

What I wasn’t expecting was to get into a long and rather hilarious debate with someone about whether or not I could consider myself vegan based on a number of different things that I had never really seen as being problematic when it came to my veganism.

Long story short, if this person is right in saying that the way I use animal products in my life is hypocritical to what being vegan means, then I guess I’m no longer vegan.
